He was also actively engaged in fighting corruption in the Arab world, as a consultant for the World Bank. His experience has allowed him to develop a thorough understanding of the complex social, economic and political issues in the MENA region, and the challenges that these developments represent for the EU in terms of security, migration, and economic relations.
